Build confidence to overcome fear

Overcoming Fear: Veetha   “ Raga , Bhaya , Dwesha “ . Bhagavad Gita mentions about three great enemies of human which one must overcome to be successful and happy. They are Raga (Attachment), Bhaya (Fear ) , Dwesha ( hatred). Fear is one factor hindering people from enjoying eternal bliss that the human being really is . We all have read about how young seagull overcame fear of flying. It was afraid of flying . It was made to starve for 24 hours. When mother brought fish , seagull jumped to get and could see itself flying and overcame the fear. Thus, the only way to overcome fear of any act  is experience that act again and again. People have all kind of fears , fear of failure, fear of height , fear of darkness , fear of closed place, fear of public speaking  etc., Many of these fears are acquired during our child hood through some bad experiences. The opposite of fear is confidence. Confidence is in fact ante-dote to fear. How to develop confidence and banish fear is very
Happy Deepavali Deepavali  is a festival celebrated throughout the world though in different forms . worshipping Dhana Lakshmi praying fo0r prosperity. leading from darkness to light, killing the Asura ( evil spirit in us) are various achievements associated with this festival. This brings us to the point of whether these are real events of  are they really of any use . when you ponder over this one thing becomes clear. All these rituals or beliefs are to strengthen the human spirit to purify itself of evil thoughts and bring positive thoughts and energy and spread it in the society. As proved scientifically also the human minds are interconnected and are always interacting through vibrations. These festivals bond the minds further and bring all-round positivity thus purifying the environment of evil thoughts and bad energy.  Positive thoughts is the essence of happy life . man is what he thinks. Thoughts make the person. any happy or otherwise events or any creation is the outcome of
Destiny – in our hands? In my childhood days whenever I meet astrologers, my distant uncle was an astrologer and I knew few others through him, I used to ask them on whether human life is pre-determined or he has the freedom to decide his future? Either way, what is the use of astrological prediction for me if I cannot change that? If I can change that, means future is not already decided, then how can you predict something which is not there now and is based on my future actions? I used to get different answers. One such response looked acceptable for me was, There is destiny, that is future is decided. But you have freedom to change it through your efforts. Humans are under the influence of stars and their positioning in one’s birth. However, by practicing certain methods like reciting Mantras, performing Sacrifices, visiting holy places will reduce the impact of bad position of stars. This may be true or may be working through belief/faith, but results were coming. Today whe

Isha Upanishad - Perfect life

Isavasya Upanishad – way of happy life Right from my childhood I was very much impressed by the following three verses from this Isha Upanishad, which was source of strength for me in times of difficulties. Om Puurnnam-Adah Puurnnam-Idam Puurnnaat-Puurnnam-Udacyate | Puurnnasya Puurnnam-Aadaaya Puurnnam-Eva-Avashissyate || Om Shaantih Shaantih Shaantih || That (Brahma) is complete, whole; this(Jagat) is complete, whole .From the complete(Brahma)   comes the Jeeva /Jagat, which is also whole, complete. If completeness is taken away from complete, still complete only remains. This may be compared to Ocean which is water. If you take out some water from ocean, ocean remains still full and the water taken out has all the qualities of the water in the ocean. God being eternal and bliss, same applies to Jeevatma , we human beings. Our nature is peace, bliss and we are permanent. Go into different bodies, births. Just like child hood, young age, old age , death and rebirth is the c
