Why are we here?
Many of us from our childhood have been wondering /questioning the basic doubts like from where have we come? what is the purpose of life? Is it an accident and end with death ? or is it a soul which is perpetual and takes bodies suiting it's purpose and moves on ?
Then the question whether the destiny of each such life is prefixed or is that in our hands? like who is responsible for the deeds and actions? Krishna says without my will nothing moves in this world.Does that mean that he is responsible for all the acts in this world? wehave no responsibility for our acts? we are just playing the role assigned to us? But then the "my" in that does that include the person here also as advitha philosphers argue the unity of atman and God?
When we continue pondering over the years each one of us get our answers. That is right or wrong is not relevent . It gives us satisfaction.supports us. Then there are those who have great conviction in their findings and they want to spread it to others and they come to be known as GURU s or religious leaders further into religions and form and shape beliefs and destiny of a large numer of lesser mortals.
What exactly we have here to learn. We are here. do not know tomorrow. Today is surely mine. let me make best use of this . let me be happy and make others happy. That will relieve me of mental tensions and worry tomorrow. That brings me people/friends and satisfaction of my ego ,my craving for recognition.
let us understand that whatever we do,our destiny is not in our hands. Let us have faith in some force that is leading this world and get help from such source. This may be through our own subconscious mind through the power we get from such conviction. One thing is certain. Though destiny is not totally in our hands, our sincere efforts always yielded results.
This makes me to conclude that " Life is a perennial flow like river. In the river though every moment flowing water is different but river is same. There is continuity. in the drama of life we have been given some role based on our earlier performance which is in our hands to perform well. this performance determines our next role and our efficiency in handling our next role"
This belief makes me to strive for more and more knowlede, meditate,read, interact with people , love and connect with lot of people.
Let us play together the game of his life happily, leisurely. We have come with empty hand and any moment may leave empty handed. So what we have given to others is our savings for the future. What we have kept for ourselves without sharing with other needy is our liability for the future. Enjoy giving for better future.
